'Let's' go fly a kite'
Last week the Out of Hours club made the most of the wind and practiced flying a kite. We also made our own kites using paper, black bin liners and string. The children made paper aeroplanes and had a competition to see who could fly their aeroplane the furthest.
We had great fun and we luckily did not get blown away!!!!
I am immensely proud of all the children in the club for all their efforts in raising an amazing amount of £88.30 by selling cakes for Children In Need last Friday. A big thank you to Parents and children for donating cakes and attending the event. The money has been paid into the bank and a letter has been sent to Children In Need detailing everything that the children have done in helping others.
Thank you for all your support.
Last week we celebrated book week and harvest at club. This week we have been studying London and we will be carrying on the celebrations of London next week ending the week with a tea party.
We have been celebrating Roald Dahl this week in the Out of hours club. We have done many activities, decorating cakes for Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, a Skittles experiment for George's marvellous medicine. Colouring sheets and playing the Roald Dahl game, finishing the week with a Roald Dahl Dvd and a competition to see who can name the most Roald Dahl books. Next week we will be doing a book week, making pop up books and bookmarks, reading our favourite stories.
