This message has been set out to all referral agencies from the department who process applications for the above scheme. 

Due to the unprecedented demand for support during this cycle of the Household Support Fund we are pausing the scheme to new applications from 5pm on Friday 29th November 2024.

This will ensure that we are able to process and issue vouchers in time for Christmas to all applications received.

We hope to reopen for applications early in the new year and further information on this will be provided in due course on our website.

Due to the demand, we currently have some delays in processing applications. We are working through applications as quickly as possible, however we are currently working 20 days from submission to processing and we will NOT be able to respond to enquiries regarding the progress of applications.

 

The new Government announced last month that the Household support Fund will run into next year, meaning families who need extra support (particularly with fuel and food) over the winter months can ask professionals to apply on their behalf.
