Pumpkin Plod

We are looking forward to this Friday’s Pumpkin Plod, which parents are welcome to join us for.

Please come to the front office for 2pm if you wish to join and enter via the Whitehill Rd entrance, coming to the front office to be signed in. Please note that this gate will be locked during the plod. The plod will begin for the children at 2:15pm and will be finished for 2:45pm.

Children will be able to run or walk – they can go at their own pace. It’s just for fun! Prizes, including a special prize for the best dressed, will be given out in class after the plod and children will be dismissed as usual from their usual exits.

FAQ’s

Can we take our children straight home after the plod if we are coming along to join in the fun?

Children will return to class after the plod to collect their prizes. If you have joined the class for the plod please let the class teachers know that you would like to take your child early and they will bring them to you on the playground once they have collected their prize.

What should my child wear? Can I dress up?

Children and adults are invited to dress up – the theme is autumn. Think spooky outfits, cosy clothes, autumn colours, woodland creatures. Children should also please remember to bring a coat, as we will be outside in the cold for half an hour. Children should come to school in their costumes please.

Can I bring my younger non-school age children?

Yes of course, but please keep them with you at all times.

What happens if it rains?

A decision will be made on Thursday 30th, as to whether the plod will go ahead and we will let you know via email on Arbor if it is NOT going ahead. If it doesn’t go ahead on Friday we hope to rearrange to Tuesday 4th November. Keep your fingers crossed for dry weather!

Can we take photos?

Photos are permitted to capture these special memories. Please refrain from posting on social media however, as some of our children are not permitted to be photographed.

When should children bring their sponsorship monies in?

The sports ambassadors are very grateful for any sponsorship monies that you have managed to raise. As half of the money is going to Children in Need the deadline for returning sponsorship monies and forms is Friday 14th November.

Thank you for your support.
