I am responsible for leading and managing the school office, finance administration and premises staff.
My duties are broken down into the following areas:-
Administration Management. Our aim is to keep you informed and up to date on everything that is happening in school. We have invested in new systems to ensure that all our parents and carers can access this information via our chosen communication methods (ParentMail) our school website and school notice boards.
Financial Management. I work with the Senior Leadership team and the governing board to plan our school budget to ensure that we can maintain our current levels of staffing whilst ensuring we are still able to afford the necessary curriculum resources to support your child’s education.
Management Information Systems & ICT. I work closely with our IT technicians and ICT coordinator to introduce new technology or by making improvement to existing technology to ensure that we keep our school systems up to date.
Human Resource Management. I ensure that all staff are recruited in accordance to current safeguarding legislation.
Facility & Property .I work with the premises team to ensure that our grounds and premises are maintained to a high standard.
Health & Safety I ensure that our school is a safe place for everyone. The premises team carry out daily checks to ensure that our buildings and grounds are a safe learning environment
I have worked at Ellistown Primary School for 7 years. I really enjoy my job as it is busy, varied and sometimes quite challenging but there are never two days the same.
My main responsibilities within the school office are:
Maintaining the attendance registers in accordance with legal requirements. Monitoring pupil attendance in adherence to the school’s attendance policy. Answering the telephone and responding to queries from parents and other sources. Collating and reporting EYFS, Key stage 1 and 2 assessment data. Administration for school trips. Cash handling and banking duties. Daily school dinner orders and dinner money balances. Maintaining the school inventory. I can help with ParentMail and any other general ad-hoc queries you may need help with.
I started with Ellistown Primary School in September 2015 and have really enjoyed the busy pace of the school office. It is always alive with energy and we constantly strive to help the school run efficiently.
My main responsibilities are:
Answering all enquires by telephone or in person from parents, public, employees and dealing with any correspondence we receive. Keeping all data for pupils, employees and parents/guardians up to date. Making sure parents are well informed via email, the school website and school notice boards of any activities within the school. Emailing parents when children have been placed in the "red zone”. Producing documents for parents, pupils and teachers. Helping parents resolve any queries with Parent Mail and the Out of Hours Club. Administration for discos, school fayres, seasonal events and correspondence going home. Cash handling. Maintaining office stationery stock by re-ordering against pre-determined levels and within prescribed budget. Processing documentation (e.g. invoices and orders).
