Year 5 Trip to De Montfort Hall – LEAP Orchestra

Dear Parents / Carers,

We have an exciting opportunity to enrich our Music curriculum with a trip to De Montfort Hall on Tuesday 9^th June 2026.

At the event, children will participate in a 70-minute interactive concert with an orchestra from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, showcasing all styles of music from folk to reggae and opera to EDM. Children will be required to wear normal school uniform.

All children will need to bring a break-time snack to eat before we leave school and will also need to take a packed lunch, which they will eat at De Montfort Hall after the concert. We will leave school at 10:15AM to get to De Montfort Hall for 10:50AM and will be picked up at 1PM, to be back at school in time for normal pick up. The trip will cost £16.00 and is available to pay in the trips section of your Arbor app by Friday 29th May at 12pm.

• Coach  Hire - £255.00
• Workshop - £6.50 per child
• Insurance, payments & other charges - £25.00

In agreement with the governing board, we have made the decision to run trips in a different way this school year. We will still be offering the same trips but will not be advertising our day trips to the children and instead will send letters directly to parents via Arbor.

Trips will not be booked until all payments have been made and will not go ahead if all payments have not been received. Day trips will continue to be free for children on our Pupil Premium Register.
