Year 6 Trip to the National Justice Museum Nottingham

We have an exciting opportunity to enrich our history unit, Crime and Punishment, with a trip to the National Justice Museum in Nottingham on Monday 26^th October 2026.

Nottingham’s former Courthouse and Gaol houses the UK’s largest collection of over 40,000 law, justice, crime and punishment artefacts, which will bring our learning on crime and punishment to life. Across the day, children will take part in a museum workshop as well as a courtroom workshop. They will discover what a courtroom is, how it is used and take part in a mini mock trial.

Please could children be dropped off at school for 8.30AM, as we will be leaving at 8:45AM to arrive in Nottingham for 9:45AM.

Children should wear school uniform and will need a packed lunch and a drink. If your child receives Free School Meals and you would like the school to provide a basic packed lunch please speak to the school office by Monday 14^th October 2026.

This trip will cost £20.00 which is available to pay in the trips section of your Arbor app by Thursday 15^th October 2026.

National Justice Museum workshops - £348.00

Coach  Hire - £355.00

Insurance, payments & other charges - £40.00

In agreement with the governing board, we have made the decision to run trips in a different way this school year. We will still be offering the same trips but will not be advertising our day trips to the children and instead will send letters directly to parents via Arbor.

Trips will not be booked until all payments have been made and will not go ahead if all payments have not been received.

Day trips will continue to be free for children on our Pupil Premium Register.

If you have any questions, please come and speak to me.

Kind Regards,

Miss Towersey – Class Teacher
