Harvest Festival 2026 – Years 3 & 4

As we approach the season of harvest, we are reminded of the importance of gratitude, generosity and supporting our local community. We are pleased to invite families of our Year 3 and Year 4 children to our Harvest Festival celebration.

The service will take place at St Christopher's Church on Thursday 15th October 2026, beginning at 2:30pm. Church doors will open to families from 2:15pm.

This year, we would like to extend the spirit of harvest by supporting St Christopher's Church, who work closely with The Trussell Trust to help local families experiencing hardship. We would be grateful for any harvest donations of non-perishable food items, which will be given to the church for distribution to those in need.

Suggested donations include:

• Tinned vegetables and fruit
• Pasta, rice and noodles
• Soups and stews
• Breakfast cereals
• Dried goods such as lentils, beans and pulses
• Long-life milk and fruit juice
• Tinned meat and fish
• Biscuits and crackers

If you are able to contribute, donations can be brought into school and handed to your child's class teacher before the Harvest Festival.

Please note that children in Years 3 and 4 will take all of their belongings with them to church on the afternoon of the service. Therefore, children may go directly home with their parents/carers from the church once the performance has finished and do not need to return to school.

We sincerely appreciate your generosity and support. Every donation, no matter how small, will help make a positive difference within our community.

Thank you for helping us share the harvest spirit with others.

Kind regards,

Ellistown Primary School
