Chair Of Governors.

My wife Emily and I have lived in Ellistown and the surrounding area for over 10 years, since 2019 our son has attended the school and our daughter the playgroup. Early on and during the building up to our son starting school we were impressed and reassured by the ethos and commitment of the school to ensure that his transition and future experiences would include excitement, challenge and most importantly support.

Early on I wanted to be part of the joined effort of staff, parents and carers to make Ellistown Primary the best it could possibly be building on its previous successes. I was honoured to able to join the Governing Body in 2019 and play an active part in supporting the life of the school, including the recruitment of our fantastic Head Teacher, member of the Finance, Personnel and Premises Committee and various other work streams.

As well as bringing skills including budgeting, health & safety, staff management, developed over a period of 25 years working in local government, I consider myself to be friendly, honest and supportive. Someone who is approachable, will actively listen, take on board other people’s views and share my own in a constructive way.

I look forward to my time as a Governor, working with staff, parents, carers and pupils to ensure that we achieve our shared goals, celebrate our shared successes and champion Ellistown Primary as a beacon and example that other schools aspire to be more like.
